China was always a mystic place for me. As a child I was fascinated by the Great Wall and Chinese writing was as mysterious as its culture. This book contains the experiences of my travels through this fascinating country from 2008 to 2015. During these 7 years I frequently visited China to work there and to explore this land and its people together with my Chinese wife Chen Fei. Travelling through China independently gave me insights no organized travel could have provided. I hope, dear reader, you find the account of my journeys amusing and (maybe at least in parts) enlightening. But above all I want you to enjoy reading it! Werner Schomburg
